Maga Nómada offers intuitive, on-site cooking for retreats, holidays, and small gatherings.
I work closely with each group to create meals that fit the rhythm of the stay, the location, and the people at the table. There are no fixed menus — the food responds to season, availability, and the moment.
The focus is simple, nourishing food prepared from scratch, using local ingredients whenever possible. Meals are meant to support connection, ease, and daily life — not to perform or impress.

Brunch
From $80 per person Single service brunch include all ingredients
A relaxed, abundant brunch cooked from scratch and served family-style.
Expect seasonal fruit, yogurt, homemade granola, fresh bread or baked goods, eggs cooked to your liking, and a rotating selection of dishes inspired by your chosen cuisine—Costa Rican, Mediterranean, Mexican, or others.
Juice and good coffee are always part of the table.
This brunch is meant to be shared slowly, without rush—simple food, generous portions, and an easy rhythm to start the day together.
Dinner
From $95 per person Single service dinner include all ingredients
An intuitive, from-scratch dinner shaped by the night, the ingredients available, and your preferences.
The menu unfolds naturally and may include a thoughtfully prepared main (meat and/or vegetarian), seasonal vegetables, vibrant salads, soulful sides, fresh bread, and something sweet to finish.
This is not a fixed menu—it’s a responsive one.
Dinner is cooked with attention and served as a shared experience, meant to feel warm, nourishing, and grounded.
Multi-day
From $450/day · up to 8 people · $60/day per extra person Chef fee only · food cost not included · Estimated ingredient budget: $150–$250/day depending on group size and menu
A full day of cooking centered around brunch and dinner, designed to support long, slow days.
Each day includes:
A generous brunch to begin the day
A mid-day bite — something light and nourishing to carry you through the afternoon
A complete dinner in the evening
Everything is cooked from scratch using fresh, local ingredients whenever possible. Menus adapt to your preferences, dietary needs, and the rhythm of each day.
This service is offered as a multi-day experience, ideal for retreats, celebrations, or extended stays centered around food, rest, and connection.
The Conscious Kitchen
$150 per person · groups up to 6 · 4 hours
A 4-hour immersive experience in food, energy, and presence.
We cook together — but this is not a cooking class. It's an invitation to explore food as a form of nourishment that goes beyond the plate. We talk about what we bring to the kitchen: our energy, our intention, our awareness. We source ingredients consciously, cook with full presence, and sit down together to eat what we made.
You leave with recipes, yes. But also with a different relationship to what it means to feed yourself and others.
Sessions are intimate — maximum 6 people — and can be hosted at Alma Tierra Café or your location.

The Table at Balsa Nueva
A two-night farm hotel stay centered around food, land, and shared time.
Hosted at Balsa Nueva Lodge — a working farm hotel on the Osa Peninsula — "The Table" takes place high above the Golfo Dulce, surrounded by jungle, open views, and the rhythms of the farm. Guests stay in simple, rustic cabañas designed for rest, quiet, and connection to nature.
Meals are prepared by Maga Nómada — farm-to-table cooking at its most honest. Fresh, locally sourced ingredients, many harvested directly from our own garden and farm. Food follows the pace of the place: unhurried, seasonal, and deeply nourishing. We gather around the table for generous meals, cooked from scratch and shaped by what the land offers in that moment.
This experience is about slowing down, eating well, waking with the light, and sharing simple pleasures — good food, open views, and time held gently.
